Elizabeth Halstead
Elizabeth ranks as one of Britain's leading painters of wild deer. She is an accomplished stalker and, like artists and hunters through the ages, has an equally keen eye for the subject of her pictures and her quarry. She lives and paints in the Scottish Borders.


Simon Trinder
A passionate wildfowler and prolific painter, Simon Trinder hails from Suffolk and can think of no better shooting opportunity than a flooding tide at dawn on the Wash. It's also a good time to capture the moment for one of his paintings.


Colin Woolf
Colin Woolf has his home studio in North Wales, where he spends as much time as possible walking the hills and studying birds in their natural habitat. "You've got to be able to see and understand, just looking is not good enough," he says.


Berrisford Hill
When he's not painting gamebirds, Berrisford Hill is retrieving them for the bag as a picker-up on one of his local shoots in Somerset. "One has to experience the bitterly cold days, the driving rain or brilliant sunshine to understand wildlife, "he says.
